Ready to start selling furniture for a profit?
I have been flipping furniture since 2019 & am finally ready to share some of the knowledge I have gained from my own successes & failures.
In this blog post, I will share a list of the most common & profitable platforms to sell your flipped furniture for profit!
Lets sell some furniture Queens! We aren’t doing this for FREE!

Happy flipping!

The best Places to sell flipped furniture

1. Facebook Marketplace

Facebook Marketplace is one of the most popular places to sell your flipped furniture, Quickly! FBMP gives you the option to sell locally and gives you the option to offer shipping.

2. Etsy

Etsy is a great place to grow brand awareness and reach a wider range of customers. Etsy does take a percentage of sales & charges a small fee to create an account. Etsy has invested in providing vendors with access to resources that will help you learn to increase sales & brand awareness through their site- use these resources to your advantage!

3. Craigslist

Craigslist is an old school platform for selling second hand items. Be aware that people will try to haggle with you on price.
I recommend noting in your listing that your prices are “FIRM” to weed out some of the hagglers. Stick to your price!

4. Instagram

If you want to charge a premium for your flipped furniture- You MUST have an online presence! Instagram is a great way to easily share finished products & pieces that are in the works!
Tip- Use popular hashtags to increase traffic to each post!

5. Facebook Business Page

Create a business page on Facebook! Creating a following on Facebook will allow you to reach potential customers before your pieces are even completed! I have had multiple pieces sell before they were even finished by posting “sneak previews” of projects in the works!

6. Personal Website

Creating your own website to complete sales is a way to cut out the middle man. I would focus on building your brand & using the common marketplace to start building a loyal audience before investing in a website build.
Tip: Great website builders that are beginner friendly: wix.com & wordpress.com

3. Tik Tok

Just like Facebook & Instagram- Creating a following through video content of your flips is a great way to increase potential sales!

4. Rental Booths

Renting a booth in a local flea market to stage & sell your furniture is a great way to start creating a new customer base. Check out places like The Painted Tree Marketplace & Gracie Lane Boutiques!

5. Store Front

A pricier option and one that takes a considerable increased amount of time & energy- renting a small space in a commercial retail space is an option to get foot traffic.

6. Farmers Markets

Check out your city farmers market for market days. Lots of farmers markets rent spots to vendors on event basis. Farmers markets are usually filled with people that are looking for something unique.

7. Trade Shows

Check with your local city civic center for a list of events- These events get major foot traffic & can help you generate sales & brand awareness significantly over night.

8. Email List

Start a local email list as soon as you can! Keeping customer contact information is essential to maintaining contact with people that you have already made an impression on! Keeping an email list is a great way to ensure that you can reach all of your customers without relying on social media. Sending short emails out to your previous customers with a “first dibs” or “pre-sale” approach allows you to give those on your email list an opportunity to snag merchandise before the public & gives you increased opportunity to make a sale before you’ve even completed the project!

I hope that you found this list helpful! Remember to breathe & know that all of this will come with time. Don’t burn yourself out before you reap the benefits!

As always, I am here to help! Welcome to the tribe!
