Owner Reconciliation Furniture
No. 1: “Black Betty” Credenza
Black Betty was painted in Waverly Black Paint & sealed with clear furniture wax. The drawers and sides were lined with scrapbook paper & modge podge (I don’t recommend this method-stick with the peel & stick wallpaper as it is available everywhere now)
I got these gorgeous drawer pulls from Hobby Lobby but if you are into this style- I highly recommend checking out Undead Furniture Co. hardware selection! You can check out Undead Hardware here!
No. 2: “Midnight” Provincial Set
Black painted provincial dresser set painted in Caviar by Dixie Belle Paint Company & sealed with Minwax water based polyurethane top coat. The original handles were cleaned and refinished with Rub n Buff- and we put them on upside down for a more modern vibe.
No. 3: Boho Vintage Desk Side Tables
These side tables came from cutting a vintage desk in half. The paint used was Midnight Skys by Dixie Belle Paint Company and stained portions were stained with Minwax water based stain in the shade Early American.
No. 4: Glass Bookshelf
This beauty was painted in Dixie Belle Paint Company silk paint in the shade Caviar & sealed with sealed with Minwax water based polyurethane top coat. I went for some light distressing to the edges using a 220 grit sanding sponge to lightly scuff the areas I wanted to create an aged look too.

Like any trade, flipping furniture is A LOT of work but YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS, Queen!
Don’t give up and stay true to your brand. Learn from your mistakes and never stop investing in yourself. You won’t become a high roller in this business overnight. Take your time, invest in the right tools and believe in yourself! Find a tribe of like minded women for support on your creative journey for quick advice and find a mentor that inspires you to keep going and when you make it, pay it forward.
